location is fine. cons: poor maintenance of rooms. the door locks of both rooms were broken. they just give conditioner to take a bath. when asked abt giving shampoo and bodywash, they just have a shampoo to give. the services at the restaurant are also below par. though the food taste is fine but it takes 45 min for them to deliver your order. and then there's no one to listen to your basic requests of water, bowls, spoons - each one if those takes 10 minutes. they seems to have some local boys on service who usually shy away from work and don't understand English. hot water is not available 24 hrs. only 8 hrs per day. And room cleaning is also below avg. they don't even change your bedsheets daily. they say that they do it alternatively. I booked 2 rooms @12k/day..at this price I definitely expected better services.

One of my best stays at Ooty. Polite staffs Govind, Santosh & Santosh and others. South Indian breakfast is what I liked. Only Dosa can be improved. Otherwise buffet was really good . Service anytime is also good. I have stayed in other hotels in Ooty before, and this is my first stay at West Down and I give star rating to this property.

Location was good. Breakfast was worst. Nothing was good in buffet. Rooms were not that clean. There were some used shampoo and moisturisers in the room.

Our stay at west-downs heritage resort was bad. It is not worth the money paid and for everything they charge extra. The resort is old fashioned and rooms have some bad odour. Bathroom/toilet is small and flush won't function properly. Doors won't close properly and are hard to lock/unlock the main door. Rooms are not warm at all and they don't have heaters in the room. For the heaters they charged 950rs per night and provided an old heater which took min. 3 hours to warm the room. Food at an in-house restaurant is expensive. Drinks prices are more than 2 times the mrp and veg biryani costs 600 rs. Complementary breakfast is continental and it was ok. Overall it was bad experience and not worthy.

Loction is okay. Ambience is okay. But there are some cons. The room in which we stayed had few problems. Bathroom drains were clogged and water was covering the entire bathroom. The walls and curtains of the bathroom is full of fungus. Some of the lights were not working. 24*7 water heater is not available
